Last year our University was entered into the Anna Purna Knitwear competition. I was chosen as a finalist and was asked to make up my design using cashmere yarns sent to me by the company. These are the other design boards which I entered.

For this collection I had to write my own brief so I decided to look at knots. I studied all different types of knots and found ways of incorporating them into knitted fabrics. I was really pleased with the results and this project was the inspiraion for my final show.
The brief for this project was to create fabrics for menswear based on the idea of Long John Silver. I really enjoyed this project as I love designing for fashion. This project was also the start of my fascination with joints and knots.
